Lowbacca the Wookie Hero

You may think that you know all the Jedi. There’s Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Mace Windu and all those. But thrust me. You don’t know all of the Jedi.

Star Wars Legends (The Expanded Universe) is home to many awesome characters. I doubt that anyone knows all the characters, but there are a few ones that really stand out. For example, did you know that Indiana Jones is officially part of Star Wars Legends?

But the character I’m going to be talking about today isn’t Indiana Jones, it’s… Lowbacca! He is the only current wookie Jedi, and he’s a pretty darn badass one. And guess what, Lowie (that’s his pet name) is related to Chewie! In fact, Lowbacca is Chewbacca’s nephew!

Pretty cool, huh? Ready to learn more about this hero? Well let’s go! If you read my Tuesday post, you will remember that I explained some of the lightsaber colours. Lowie is the only known Jedi to wield the bronze saber. Just like his Uncle Chewie, he often accompanies humans on  his adventures.

So were did he learn all of these Jedi skills? Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Praxeum, of course! What ever the hell that is! The wiki article I’m using to write this also states that he has a slight sense of humour. And I am still struggling to figure out how a wookie can have a sense of humour. No offense, Lowie.

And he is definitely a team player. Throughout his Jedi “career”, he was a member of:

So yeah, I think that it sure is worth remembering this brave Jedi. Not because he was good with the lightsaber. Not because he helped the rebels on countless occasions, but because he was a gosh damn wookie and everybody loves wookies! So yeah, don’t forget that.

Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed this post. If so, please leave a like. Even if you didn’t enjoy my post, please give me some feedback in the comments on how I can improve my blog, or just vote in the poll. Have a great Wednsday! May the Force be with you!

To you, Lowbacca, the greatest Jedi alive.
