Yes, yes, I know. I was supposed to only be doing DC posts until Batman v Superman. But I had to do the next chapter of Romanoff, Barton and S.H.I.E.L.D. Read the previous chapter here and read the first chapter here. Enjoy 😉 Also I recently took part in a blogging competition over at the Unicorns, Narwhals and Me blog. I am very happy to announce that I got into the second round. Go here to vote for me and check out my entry here.
“Congratulations!” Agent Morse was screaming in disgust at the top of her voice. “People are dead now!”
“How the bloody hell were we supposed to know that it would go so badly.” Agent Hunter tried to defend himself. Suddenly Agent Romanoff decided to speak.
“Instead of arguing shouldn’t we be trying to track whoever this guy is down to make sure that nothing like this happens again,” she said.
“Already on it!” replied agent Barton casually. He was sitting at a laptop quietly all along.
“What are you doing?” asked Natasha.
“I’m tracking whoever this guy is down. Just as you said.” answered Clint. There was a moment of silence. Then Hawkeye pressed a few more keys and gasped, staring at the screen. “Oh gosh… guys, you better see this,” he said. They all huddled around the computer staring at footage of Loki killing passengers with his golden sword. He then made a hole in the plane with the sword, and just jumped out.
“Damn you, stupid Asgardian,” muttered Black Widow through her teeth.
At 7pm Lance Hunter and Clint Barton met together in a pub. They were both sipping a beer each and discussing stuff.
“Have you ever seen Loki before? As in, in person?” asked Lance. Clint stared at him for a moment.
“Yeah, he controlled my mind to try to kill the other Avengers,” he replied eventually.
“I’ve had this idea that if things got really bad with Loki we could…”
“How do you know what I was gonna say.”
“You were gonna say that we could call in the rest of the Avengers, weren’t you?” Lance sighed.
“Yeah that was actually exactly what I was gonna say.” They spent the next few minutes in silence. Suddenly though, there was chaos. It only took a split second for the pub to change from a quiet room, to one where people were running and screaming; calling for help.
“Aaagh!” Lance Hunter felt his left hand being sliced off by a sword.
“You have something I want…” Loki whispered into the agent’s ear. Just then Hawkeye managed to pull back his bow and shoot the God of Mischief with a poisonous arrow. It just about hit him between his armor. He threw a glance and the Avenger and ran away.
“Lance, you have to stay away from the field for at least a month,” Barbara was saying calmly.
“Bloody hell, I don’t!” was Hunter’s reaction. Natasha tapped Bobbi on the shoulder.
“Agent Romanoff, what is it?” she asked. Black Widow took a deep breath.
“We… we have to call in Thor…”
