Will Anyone Die in Civil War?

Will anybody die in this week’s Captain America: Civil War? It’s an ongoing joke that nobody ever dies and stays dead in the comics, and pretty much the same thing can be said for the MCU. So will Civil War try to break the fourth wall here? P.S. There will be spoilers for the Civil War comic ahead. Continue reading Will Anyone Die in Civil War?

Should “The Incredible Hulk” be Part of the MCU?

This movie is probably MARVEL’s biggest mistake so far. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie itself. It just doesn’t fit into the MCU very well. The main reason is that that Bruce Banner is portrayed by a totally different actor here. We can all somewhat understand James Rhode’s recasting because they actually tried to look for a look-a-like to the previous actor. But Mark Ruffalo and Edward Norton look nothing like each other. Why Does Nobody Die in Comics?

First of all, yesterday I hit 100 posts on my blog! Click here to check out my 100th post! Today I will be talking about why nobody ever dies, and stays dead, in comics. I’m not talking about movies here. I will be tackling why nobody dies in comic book movies another day. For now, let’s just focus on comics. Continue reading Why Does Nobody Die in Comics?

100th Post!!!

✴️Oh my gosh!!!✴️ How the heck did I get 100 posts already?!?! Only a couple of months ago I made my 50th post and today I am celebrating my 100th post!!! I am really excited. I am honestly surprised that I am still even doing daily posts. When I started my blog, I told myself that I will start off by doing daily posts and then I will just do weekly posts when I’ve got enough content so my blog doesn’t seem empty. Now, I’m no expert, but to me, I don’t think that my blog seems very empty. In fact, it has 100 freaking posts! So for now, I will continue doing daily posts for as long as I am able to.

So, let’s get onto a few announcements, shall we? First of all, I am now launching the Sci-fi Pie Weekly Newsletter. Every week, everybody on my mailing list will receive a newsletter. Each newsletter will include an overview of my stats from the week, a sci-fi-related joke, and a fun fact, the latest news from the world of science fiction, as well as any content that I uploaded to my YouTube channel that week. If you wish to subscribe to my mailing list, just fill in the contact form which is at the bottom of every post. You can always unsubscribe if you aren’t happy.

I don’t want to say too much about my second announcement yet. I just want to let everyone know that I am working on something really cool. I hope that you will enjoy it, and even if you won’t, I’m quite bloody sure that I’m going to enjoy it.

And third of all, to celebrate 100 posts on my blog, I will be doing a Q+A. Please, do not hesitate to spam the comments with any questions that you would have for me. Or, if you do not have a WordPress account, you can just fill in the contact form, or you could just e-mail me over at “mikpe120@gmail.com”. I cannot wait for the Q+A, and I am very excited to answer all of your questions. If you really want you can also notify me via Facebook. Check out my page here.

Speaking of Facebook, I am officially re-opening my Facebook page. It has been a little bit dead recently. I haven’t posted on it since Romanoff, Barton & S.H.I.E.L.D – Chapter 2. So, within the next week, I will publish every post on my blog since Romanoff, Barton & S.H.I.E.L.D – Chapter 2. So, yeah. I’m sorry if I make a mess of your feed.

And the sixth and final announcement, I am getting a proper domain. You know the way my address is currently http://www.scifipie.wordpress.com? Well, in a few days it will change to either http://www.scifipie.cat or http://www.scifipie.me. I’m still not 100% sure which one I’ll get, but they’re both pretty cool. Unfortunately, I cannot get http://www.scifipie.com, because that domain is currently being squatted by an inactive Blogspot blog of the same name as mine. But who even cares?

That’s it for announcements. I want to thank everyone who decided to check out my blog. I am hoping to continue writing daily posts here for as long as I can. If for some reason I won’t be able to do daily posts, I will just start doing weekly posts. I currently have 35 followers on my blog, which I think is pretty cool. It should take me about five years to get 1000 posts, and I am definitely hoping to still be blogging by then. But for now I am very happy with 100 posts. For now, have a Wonderful Wednesday and So Long; See Thee Soon; See You Later, Alligator; In a While, Crocodile; Gotta Run, Skeleton and Gotta Hop, Lollipop!

Qui Gon Jin + Liam Neeson in Shelbourne!

I’ve been wanting to do a post about Qui Gon Jin for a very long time. He is probably one of the most underrated Star Wars characters of all time. Recently Liam Neeson (the actor who plays Qui Gon) came to The Shelbourne Hotel to the Saddlier Room Restaurant where my dad works as a sous chef!  Continue reading Qui Gon Jin + Liam Neeson in Shelbourne!
