Why join #TeamCap

As some of you may know, yesterday was the Red Carpet Hollywood Premiere of Captain America: Civil War.  Now, just to clarify, it isn’t coming to normal cinemas until the 29th of April, but all of the lucky duckies got to see it early yesterday. Today I will look at all of the positives of joining #TeamCap.

So, just in case you’ve been living in a cave for the past 3 years,  here is a quick summary of what the conflict will be all about:

In a nutshell, after the events of Avengers AssembleThe Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron the government decided that to stop any more collateral damage, superheroes should be registered. This new act is known as the Superhuman Registration Act or The Sokovian Accords. The act also states that superheroes cannot have a secret identity. Iron Man agrees with the government, but Captain America doesn’t. So they fight.

Let’s get started with the pros of joining #TeamCap then, shall we? First of all, superheroes deserve some freedom. If the Sokovian Accords are passed, the Avengers and other superpowered heroes no longer have a choice. For example, let’s say that a kid my age (I’m 11) somehow got powers. He would then be forced to risk his life, fighting crime.

Secondly, heroes would be much safer. Saving the world is their day-job. But what happens when they go home and the whole world knows their true identity. Any villain could just check in the phone book what their number is, call them, track the call and kill them in their sleep. And that would be the end of the Avengers.

Third of all, if superhumans had to do what the government told them to, the world might not be so pretty. Superheroes like the Avengers are for defending the world from villains like Loki, Ultron, The Winter Soldier, Aldrich Killian, Iron Monger, Whiplash, Red Skull, Abomination and Malekith. Not for taking part in international conflicts. The government could easily just be sending superheroes off to wars. Remember that line from the Civil War trailer The safest hands are still are own? Well Cap meant that they are the only people responsible enough to decide what they need to do with their powers.

So, that’s just about it for this post. Tomorrow I will do a post on why you should join #TeamIronMan. But for now, have a Wonderful Wednesday and So Long!

The Glorious #TeamCap
