“So you want us to just get some basic weapons and win back those bases!? We need S.H.I.E.L.D’s help,” argued Hunter.
“No. We can’t count on S.H.I.E.L.D to help us anymore,” explained Maria Hill.
“Well here’s my idea. Let’s just tell the US Air Force to take care of this,” said Clint. Everyone stared at him. “And in the meantime we will try to track down Loki’s current position to kill him,” he added.
“No,” Maria shook her head. “I’ve got a plan. Don’t worry. We aren’t stealing just any old weapons. We are stealing the deadliest weapon on this planet.” Everybody’s eyes glowed. They were curious as to what this weapon was. “It will allow us to just about win back these bases. Or should I say, he will allow us.”
The base was full of illusions of Loki, even though the heat signatures made the five agents think that the room was full of men. Only one of them was the real Trickster God. The real one sat down on a chair and turned to a few S.H.I.E.L.D agents who were tied to each other on the floor.
“Would any of you gentlemen be kind enough to show me how I can contact the another part of the world. In Asgard, we use a complicated system of horns and torches, but I cannot see any here.”
“Use the computer.” said one of them.
“Okay, how the Valhalla do I use the bloody computer, mortal!?!?” answered Loki and kicked the agent in the face.
“You are what we call a typical noob,” said the second agent.
“What’s a noob?”
“A noob is someone who was born to rule over humanity,” lied the third agent. The three of them were rather enjoying this conversation, even though they were being held hostage by a psychopathic god. But eventually, Loki started to use violence and forced the agents to show him how to use the computer. He used it to call the other S.H.I.E.L.D base that he previously captured. That one was full to the brim with chituari.
“I want exactly half of you to come to the base I am currently at. I will then go to take over a third base and then a third of you will go there. Understood?”
“Good.” Loki ended the call. However, he had no idea that the agents who showed him how to use the computer were recording the call and it was currently being sent to Avengers Tower in Manhattan.
Maria, Clint, Natasha, Lance and Barbara were in a huge warehouse.
“What does this weapon that we’re looking for even look like?” asked Agent Morse.
“It looks like a tall man in plenty of body armor. Half of his face is burned.” Maria answered.
“Wait a minute…” said Lance. “We’re going after Deathlock?”
