So, Telltale do a lot of awesome strongly plot-based puzzle/ adventure games. The cool thing about their games is that they aren’t just kill 50 zombies or shoot 20 cops. No, you actually need to think quite a bit. There is a database and everything could turn out completely different, based on the decisions you make. Now, Telltale are making a Batman game.
The game looks awesome. I think it will be a great game, but I also think that it will be a challenge to make. Batman is all about action and all, even if he doesn’t want to kill people, his stories are always about action. I’m not saying it’s impossible, I just think it’s very tricky to make a Telltale game about him.
Now, I’m not going to be one of those people who immediately judges a product based on the idea. But, I do think that this game could turn out great…. or it could turn out horrible. Just to clarify, this is an episodic adventure which means the game will consist of several episodes. They said that the first episode should come out in August and that they would try to get all five episodes out before the end of 2016. If you would like to find out more about this game, click here. Also, I think it’s worth pointing out that this game will take place in a brand new universe, a brand new Gotham City. It won’t take place in the DCEU, the New 52, the Arrowverse and definitely not in a shared universe with all of the other Telltale games.
I usually don’t play games that are this dark, (and Batman games are known for being dark) so I probably won’t play the whole thing. I mean, Telltale games are usually 5 dollars per episode, so I might play through the first episode, just to see what it’s gonna be like.
