Hey, guys! Just so you know, I’m going to Warsaw for the mid-term break, so I’m afraid I won’t be able to write any posts at all. However, I have a special Halloween post for ya, guys. Now, horror and science fiction are two genres that I don’t really see mixed together all that much. So today I have a short little sci-fi horror story for y’all. I hope you, guys, enjoy it and please don’t complain about the fact I won’t be posting any thing. Sorry.
“Floyd, are you there? Are you there?” Ulysses said into the tele-communicator yet again. He was getting really worried. “Floyd!” Ulysses was shouting into the device by now. He was answered only with silence. He cursed and placed the tele-communicator on the table. He sat down on a chair and let his face sink into his hands. “This is all my bloody fault,” he muttered. “I’m gonna have to make the damn call eventually.” Ulysses cursed yet again and was about to make the call, until he got an idea. A very morbid one.
Ulysses grabbed the emergency evaporator and pointed it at his tele-communicator. As soon as he pulled the switch, the small device turned into a small cloud of smoke. He wrote a message on a wall saying HELP. A security guard walked into the room. He was wearing an armour resistent to pretty much every single weapon ever invented… by people and by nature.
“My scanner says that the evaporator was used in this room. What happened?” The guard sounded very calm and professional, but you didn’t need to have a degree in psychology to figure out just how scared he was.
“Really? I wasn’t the one who used it.”
“Then who the hell could it have been…” Ulysses was barely listening to the man. He reached into his waistcoat, walked forward until he was no more than half a foot away from the man and he took out his hand, revealing that he was holding a spanner.
“What’s your name?” asked Ulysses.
“Whatever you are doing, I’m going to have to ask you to stop!” Ulysses looked at the guard’s nametag.
“Oh, I see. Your name is Casper. Well, Casper, I’m going to have to ask you to take of your entire suit.” While he was saying this, he slightly tapped on the guards helmet. The guard was taking deep breaths, while Ulysses was taking quick chaotic breaths. The guard was reaching out for his gun again. However, Ulysses walked up the his big control panel and let his finger hover above the big abort button. It would kill them both instantly.
